Meet Cliff & Louise

We're Cliff and Louise. We started Walking Holiday Ireland because we believe the best way to experience Ireland is on foot. We personally walk every route each year to make sure your experience is perfect. Your Questions, Answered

What if I get lost?

We provide detailed route notes and GPS files loaded onto your phone. Our routes are well-marked, and we've tested every one multiple times. If you do take a wrong turn, you can quickly get back on track using GPS or call us for support.

How does luggage transfer work?

Our baggage transfer service is simple. You leave your main luggage at your accommodation in the morning, and we collect it and deliver it to your next B&B. You walk with just a small daypack. It's one of the features our walkers love most.

Can I walk solo?

Absolutely! Many of our walkers travel solo. You'll walk at your own pace and meet other walkers and locals at the B&Bs each evening. It's a wonderful way to have an adventure and make new friends.

What's the weather like?

Ireland's weather is changeable — you might see sunshine, showers, and rainbows all in one day! We recommend layers and waterproof gear. Our blog has detailed packing advice for each season.

What accommodation do you use?

We partner with small, family-run B&Bs across Ireland. Each one is personally selected and visited by us. You'll find comfortable, warm, welcoming places with hearty Irish breakfasts.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 8-12 weeks in advance during peak season (May-September). Off-season tours can often be booked with less notice. The earlier you book, the better your B&B selection.
