I was there with my eldest son. We loved the beautiful hills and coast, the Irish people (very kind and helpful) and the B&Bs we visited were nice and clean. Our hostesses prepared us a delicious breakfast every morning: that gave us the energy for our daily hikes.

Our first organised walking holiday and we enjoyed every minute of it. Nice trails with beautiful views and very friendly people. When it was too dangerous, because of the heavy fog, to walk the trail as planned there were a lot of good alternatives. Thanks Cliff!

Cliff's personal attention makes booking with Walking Holiday Ireland of added value. Little things in which we were unsure, he helped us a lot. The trip could also be adapted to our wishes. In short: everything was well agreed both in advance and on the spot, nice B&Bs, clear information, beautiful routes. A delightful 5-day adventure! The hiking routes were diverse and beautiful, with breathtaking views of the mountains and sea. All B&Bs were charming and comfortable. The local restaurants recommended by our hosts were excellent. Very professional organisation by Walking Holiday Ireland.

We are already a few days at home and look back on a wonderful time in Northern Ireland. The 500+ stunning photos have been downloaded (perhaps one of the reasons for our slow walking pace!). All B&Bs were excellent - good beds, nice breakfast, quiet location and very friendly and helpful hosts. It was very special to really meet no one on the Moyle Way. We had 2 wonderful meals in the Anzac restaurant in Ballycastle after two wonderful days walking. The combination of your descriptions and the maps worked perfectly. Only praise for the B&Bs in Cushendall and Portstewart - they were super cosy. The last walk to Portstewart was also brilliant. It was dry but very windy. Again, it was a great experience for us; the friendliness and helpfulness of everyone, including yourself, made a great impression on us.

Never been to Ireland but why would you go there? Only for the Whiskey and the Guinness? Just try, we thought. The beautiful countryside, the friendly people, cosy pubs - it is wonderfully quiet and people pay attention to each other. It was all great!

Perfect organisation from start to finish. The walking routes were well-marked, and the daily distances were very manageable. All B&Bs were excellent, with comfortable beds and beautiful breakfasts. The views of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains were spectacular. Cliff's team was always available on WhatsApp for questions. Highly recommended!

What a great holiday! Many thanks to Cliff and team. We had such a wonderful trip on the Barrow Way. Our Wicklow Way trip a few years ago was fantastic - that's why we came back and this was again a super holiday. All accommodation was again superb and the route was wonderful. Absolutely top!

On day 1 stayed in the B&B in Lordship and after a hearty Irish breakfast made a lovely walk. On the second day a wonderful walk to Carlingford, a beautiful coastal town with an outstanding B&B and a perfect base for exploring. Entertainment and good food were also taken care of. We even added an extra day. In summary: a beautiful country, incredibly friendly and polite people, and excellent organisation.

With 15 Nordic walkers we arrived at the Ballymascanlon Hotel near Dundalk, a very good hotel in the middle of a golf course. The whole week we were transferred in a little bus with a private chauffeur. We walked four times (15-20 km), with and without Cliff, in the Cooley and Mourne Mountains. One evening we met real Irish musicians. And we ate in a real Irish steak restaurant. The last day we visited Dublin. All was very well organised by Cliff.

As a couple, we enjoyed a beautiful walking holiday organised by Cliff Wayenberg of Walking Holiday Ireland. The six days of walking in the Dundalk area, Carlingford and the Mourne Mountains were a good combination of different types of scenery, from easy walking to steep climbs. Walking distances each day were a bit longer and more difficult, giving a nice challenge every day. B&Bs located in towns with lots to see and to do in the evening, and all with very enthusiastic hosts. We stayed two nights in each B&B, giving a good opportunity to learn more about a city. In summary: very well organised, well balanced and beautiful holiday!

Coming from Australia, we weren't sure what to expect from Irish hiking, but we were blown away! The Cooley Peninsula's landscape is magical - from misty mountains to stunning coastlines. Walking Holiday Ireland's organisation was impeccable. The B&Bs were charming and our hosts provided great local insights. Even with some typical Irish weather, it was an unforgettable experience.

Fortunately, we didn't need your help number during our walking adventure in Northern Ireland last week, but it felt safe to have your number at hand. We had a marvellous holiday and were very lucky with the weather. The trip was very well organised. The hiking routes were clear, with the elevation profile with coloured track types, and especially the QR codes, so we never got lost. The driver who collected us at the airport and brought us to the starting point of the first two hikes was an entertaining guide, and we were very well cared for in all of the B&Bs. The last one especially was very impressive. All in all: maybe my best holiday ever (and I'm 61!). So a big thank you!

Great trip on the Wicklow Way. Beautiful routes, well marked, and easy to follow via the Outdoor Active app. Cliff (and the team) were very quick to answer incidental questions via WhatsApp. Even a request for help with walking sticks could be quickly arranged and resolved. All in all a nice trip, definitely recommended.

Embarking on a walking tour in Ireland's west with Walking Holiday Ireland was an exceptional experience. The moderate hikes were perfectly complemented by the hospitality of the B&B hosts, who were consistently warm and welcoming. Lovely experiences (we've walked with them twice before!). I'd particularly recommend the Dingle walk, but all of our trips have had very nice accommodations and amazing scenery. The booking process is very easy, and the luggage transfer is smooth and simple. The hosts have been kind and helpful. Hiking instructions are very easy to follow and the paths are well marked - lots of options for different fitness levels. Great company!

We are back in the Netherlands and thoroughly enjoyed the hikes on the Wicklow Way. It was often breathtakingly beautiful. We were warmly welcomed at all the B&Bs, with nice showers, comfortable beds, and lots of peace and quiet. We had a slight preference for one of the accommodations, where the hostess was especially kind. Compliments for the excellent care. We truly enjoyed this holiday, thanks in part to the good organisation and the friendly people who welcomed us everywhere. Not to forget, the wonderful driver who is truly 'one of a kind.' In short, it was fantastic!

We enjoyed the Wicklow Way and also the two Barrow Way routes added to our trip afterwards. It was nice to spend a day walking along the river — a completely different experience. What a pleasure, what views (we were lucky with the weather). The B&Bs were well organised, and the transport from the B&Bs to restaurants was pleasant. It's great that you can customise the trip. The 'rest day' at Glendalough was also great — still walked 15 km! After these well-organised walks, we continued to enjoy the south of Ireland. We still look back with great pleasure on the unforgettable walking days in 2013 on the Cooley and Mourne mountains.

The walk on the Barrow River Way was one of the best hikes I've ever done. It was exactly what I was looking for. At times I thought I was walking through a fairytale landscape. I had such a lovely stay there that it was really hard to say goodbye.

In August 2024, we - mother (64) and daughter (30) - signed up through TUI with Cliff from Walking Holiday Ireland for The Wicklow Way. It turned out to be a fantastic experience. It started with a mishap - I (mother) was foolish enough to leave my passport at home. Fortunately, we found a later flight that same day and finally arrived at our first B&B hours later, more tired and stressed than planned. We had Cliff on the phone many times during those hours. Throughout this whole time, he remained friendly, showed great empathy, and kept both the taxi driver and B&B informed, so everything worked out in the end. He had already won us over completely. Everything proved to be very well organised. All B&Bs were pleasant and well-maintained. The surroundings are truly beautiful. We wholeheartedly recommend The Wicklow Way with Cliff from Walking Holiday Ireland!

Had a beautiful, challenging walking holiday with my partner. The hotels/B&Bs were superb. Everything was well arranged, and when in doubt about luggage collection, we could quickly WhatsApp Cliff. Luggage was well handled. Absolutely top! Why not 5 stars: 1 accommodation we found less good, but someone else might love it.

It's been a while since June 2024 that we walked the Wicklow Way. It was definitely worth it. The agreements made were well fulfilled. The B&Bs were all excellent, and the local taxi drivers were very helpful. In short, an amazing experience. Small tip: twice, we were forced to deviate from the route because conifers were being cut down. We walk without GPS, and the signposts had been removed.

Beautiful trip in a beautiful environment. Everything well organised, including transfers. The route descriptions to the sleeping locations could have been more detailed - it is annoying to have to search for your accommodation at the end of a long day's walk. The last walking day was too long, with many kilometres and a lot of climbing and descending.

The trip was very nice. Positive points are that you can make beautiful walks in this area. Too bad that the difference per day was so great. Where one day you walk along breathtaking cliffs, the other day you walk for a large part along/over the road. The difference in distance is also large - 20 km max, 13 km minimum.
